Hanoi releases list of 10 housing projects elegible for foreign ownership

The Hanoi’s Department of Construction has recently announced a list of 10 housing projects that allow foreign ownership. These projects are located in 4 dictricts: Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem, Cau Giay and Thanh Xuan.

In Ha Dong district: 

Zone C of Kien Hung New Urban Area in Kien Hung ward, developed by joint venture of Kien Hung Urban Development Investment JSC, Tin Phu Development Investment JSC and Hop Phu Development Investment JSC;

High-rise buildings (CT6, block A, B) at Duong Noi New Urban Area (Zone A) in Duong Noi ward, developed by Nam Cuong Corporation;

The extended Van Khe New Urban Area in La Khe ward, developed by Song Da – Thang Long JSC;

The mixed-used Hanoi Radio and Television building in Ha Cau ward, developed by Phu Thinh JSC;

High-rise buildings at Park City New Urban Area in La Khe ward, developed by Vietnam International Township Development JSC.

In Nam Tu Liem district:

Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower in Me Tri ward, developed by South Korea-based Keangnam Enterprises Ltd.

Mix-used building Dolphin Plaza in My Dinh 2 ward, developed by TID JSC;

HH2-1A building of Golden Palace A in Me Tri ward and Phu Do ward, developed by Mai Linh Investment JSC.

In Thanh Xuan district:

Mixed-use serviced apartment complex at No.25 Le Van Luong street, Nhan Chinh ward, developed by Hanoi Real Estate Business and Services JSC.

In Cau Giay district:

Mixed-use buildings Eco Park View at Cau Giay New Urban Area in Dich Vong Hau ward, developed by joint venture of Medinsco Medical Equipment JSC, Ecoland JSC and Construction and Infrastructure Development JSC.

Pursuant to Vietnam’s amended Law on Housing, which took effect from July 2015, foreigners who are granted a visa to the country and not entitled to privileges and diplomatic immunity are eligible to buy homes, including both apartments and landed houses. The tenure is 50-year leasehold with renewal possibility. Foreign individuals who are married to Vietnamese citizens are entitled to freehold tenure.
